Project Manager at Stockholm Exergi

Stockholm Exergi is the energy company for the people of Stockholm, with around 800 employees working daily to reduce the climate impact of Stockholm residents. We provide heating to over 800,000 Stockholmers, and our 300 km long district heating network is the hub for the societal benefits we create. We plan to build a carbon capture facility at our biomass power plant in Värtan, with the potential to capture 800,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year, which is more than the emissions from Stockholm's road traffic during the same period.

We need more skilled employees and hope you want to join us on our Exergi journey. What can we offer you?

As an experienced project manager at Stockholm Exergi's project office, you will lead complex investment projects through all phases – from feasibility studies, pre-project planning, and procurement to implementation and closure. You are responsible for delivering your projects within agreed goals regarding time, scope, quality, and budget to internal stakeholders. Our projects are diverse and all linked to our energy business, with a focus on projects in our energy-producing facilities, larger distribution projects, and business development projects. You are a crucial link in implementing the company's planned initiatives and ensuring our energy business achieves its goals, such as climate positivity and a sustainable Stockholm.

You will be welcomed by a dynamic team of engaged colleagues with diverse experiences and qualifications in an environment where individuals and teams grow and develop together. You will be involved in our ambition to be a leader in the industry in project management and have the opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and development of our processes and tools.

Employment type: Permanent position and daytime work.
Location: Involves work at the company's facilities based out of our office at Campus, Hjorthagen.

I want you to be a driven team member who approaches challenges with commitment and structure, delivering results with the support of colleagues and project teams.

Curious about us or our facilities?

– What is so significant is that we can actually create really large negative emissions using proven technology. We already know it works and that we can do it on a large scale; our tests are just about optimizing the technology. It makes me proud that we are making a real difference. That we are doing things that no one else does. And that I can truly contribute to it, says Erik, head of research and development.
